One of the most popular forms of racing is that of radio controlled, or RC vehicles. As in all forms of vehicle racing, parts will inevitably break or just wear out from the normal use and abuse of this activity. It doesn't matter if you are racing indoors on carpet or outdoors in the dirt, you will eventually need replacement parts for your radio controlled vehicle. Therefore, there is a constant demand for replacement RC car and truck parts.

RC car parts come in every size and shape that is originally manufactured for the completed models and even includes everything right down to the frame of the RC car itself. For the context of this article, we will discuss some of the more ordinary, as well as less mainstream, RC car parts.

Let's talk about engines first. RC engines come in a wide variety of sizes and speeds, whether you are talking electric or nitro power. A multitude of replacement engines are available to upgrade your car's performance, or to simply replace a worn out or broken power plant. As well, aftermarket exhaust manifolds usually allow for high air flow (and power) in single or dual chambers intended for racing. Furthermore, what RC parts kit (which commonly includes numerous parts) can exist without a transmission, many of which are adjustable. 

Of course, wherever any car or truck part is concerned, there is ordinarily a RC car parts model that mimics its full size version. This is so with brakes -often disc brakes, just as with actual automobiles. This is followed by a suspension that is designed to give a radio controlled vehicle longevity as well as to afford it maneuverability. Most plastic suspension parts are able to be replaced by quality aluminum parts. And don't forget drive axles, shocks, springs, and cv joints.

Whenever a car or truck is involved, it goes without saying that a fuel source is necessary and this holds true for RC models. Often, a singular fuel tank can be adapted to "piggyback" a second tank, thus giving a model more road or track time before refueling. To add to this, fuel pumps are also available, along with carburetors, naturally. Battery powered units can get the same benefits from a variety of aftermarket batteries and high speed chargers.

Finally, there are the radio transmitter and receiver. The former is much more expensive as a sole replacement part, but a quality piece can really improve your lap times. The receiver is not so costly and generally is very easy to locate and replace. All of these parts are available via the Internet as well as at local hobby shops specializing in the radio control car and truck market.
